Glacier Data's ice core drilling services include the design, engineering, fabrication, cold weather testing, modification, logistics and on site operations of ice core drills, equipment and drilling projects.
Inherent to the limiting factors of field conditions, the measure of ice core drilling expertise is the extent of field experience utilizing and managing equipment designed and built by the field manager. The differences between corporate offices and ice drilling sites routinely create problems for which the solutions are predicated on field conditions. Glacier Data has synthesized those differences.
Glacier Data is available to perform any portion or entire ice drilling projects and cold weather research.
Headquartered in Fairbanks Alaska, Glacier Data has operated from the North Pole to the South Pole. Besides work on Antarctica, Greenland and the Arctic ice pack, Glacier Data has worked on Alaska glaciers, including extensive moulin exploration.
In addition to its own shop, Glacier Data works with a network of shops and polar region entities for advanced ice research projects.
